How did I end up here, and where did my wanderlust lead me after arriving in Hanoi?

With anticipation in me heart, I set off on an unforgettable journey from Perth to Hanoi, with a ripper stopover in Kuala Lumpur. Vietnam had been whispered in me ear as a land of wonders, but crikey, the reality blew me socks off! The folks in Vietnam, mate, they weren't just good, they were fair dinkum legends!

As my plane descended onto the Hanoi runway, a wave of excitement swept over me. The airport greeted me with a serene atmosphere, as if I had stumbled upon a hidden oasis. Of course, I wasn't alone, but the tranquillity added an air of mystique to the beginning of my journey. Eager to explore beyond the city limits, I hopped into a taxi bound for Ninh Binh, a land brimming with enchantment. Ninh Binh, a realm adorned with the mesmerizing Mua Caves, became my sanctuary for two marvellous nights. Every step through the caves brought me closer to nature's embrace, the echoes of time whispering tales of forgotten splendour. But my adventure was far from over.

From there, I ventured to the captivating Cat Ba Island, a paradise embraced by the emerald waters of Halong Bay. Three remarkable nights were spent amidst the island's ethereal allure, as I surrendered to its irresistible charm.
